Shinyoung (CEO Mo Eun-young) participated in the '2024 Electric Power Technology Korea (EPTK 2024)' held at COEX in Seoul from May 1 (Wed) to 3 (Fri).

Founded in 2007, Shinyoung is a domestic company that manufactures and supplies various products including firefighting equipment and electrical materials. 

The company particularly excels in manufacturing fire extinguisher equipment, fire electrical products, and phosphorescent signs, continuously engaging in research, development, and product commercialization. According to company officials, this demonstrates their aim to emerge as a "comprehensive fire safety enterprise."

At this exhibition, Shinyoung showcased a diverse range of lighting products under their "ILLUMO" brand. 

Their building lighting product line, designed and manufactured for commercial structures, includes sensor lights, raceways, downlights, and flat panel lighting.

Regardless of form or purpose, ILLUMO's commercial/emergency dual-purpose lighting has passed the Korea Fire Institute (KFI) certification for fire safety equipment, offering broad versatility across various environments. 

During normal operations, these lights function as standard fixtures powered by the building's electrical system. In the event of emergencies such as fires or earthquakes that cause power outages, they maintain illumination through built-in batteries.

The portable emergency light 'IM-FL3' automatically illuminates when removed from its mount and provides 1W illumination for up to 120 minutes, meeting KFI standards. 

Designed for easy one-handed portability, it features a visually striking and aesthetically pleasing design to ensure high visibility during emergencies.

A Shinyoung representative stated, "Our lighting products, which have proven their quality and reliability in the domestic market, have been actively adopted in numerous buildings and facilities since their launch." They added, "While fully complying with fire safety standards, these products are also receiving positive feedback from customers for their design and performance that complement building aesthetics during normal use."

The representative continued, "Through the ILLUMO brand, we have been focusing on indoor products for public facilities and large buildings. Based on our R&D achievements and testing results, we plan to expand our portfolio to include products suitable for outdoor environments such as tunnels and roads."

Meanwhile, the 2024 Electric Power Technology Korea exhibition presented new electric power technologies and products aimed at achieving carbon neutrality. The event showcased various solutions including renewable energy with zero greenhouse gas emissions, electric vehicle core technologies, and smart energy implementations.
