[FPN Reporter Kim Tae-yoon] = A new portable emergency light featuring elegant design and diverse color options has been launched, attracting significant consumer attention.
Named 'IM-FL', this next-generation portable emergency light is manufactured by Shinyoung (CEO Mo Eun-young), a specialized fire safety equipment manufacturer. It is also the first product under their newly launched 'ILLUMO' brand this year.
Its most notable feature is the sophisticated design incorporating elegant curves. Breaking away from the bulky appearance of traditional portable emergency lights, it introduces a completely new design aesthetic. According to Shinyoung, it's stylish enough to serve as a decorative element even in luxury hotels.
The product offers various color options for consumers. Customers can choose from four colors - white, pink, red, and mint - to match their space's overall atmosphere and design. All colors are rendered in pastel tones to enhance sophistication.
Made from flame-retardant ABS material, it's durable and features a high-luminosity 1W LED. Weighing only 162g, it's approximately 26% lighter than conventional portable emergency lights that typically weigh 220g.
Despite the weight reduction, performance has improved. While existing products offered 60 minutes of effective illumination using 3V power (two 1.5V AA lithium batteries), the 'IM-FL' guarantees 120 minutes - double the operating time.
After receiving Q-Mark certification, it also obtained KFI certification last month. With these quality and safety certifications secured, Shinyoung is preparing its mass production system for full-scale market entry.
A Shinyoung representative stated, "Portable emergency lights are 'lights of life' that not only secure evacuation paths but also signal locations to rescue workers. However, they've often been neglected due to aesthetic concerns." They added, "We will maintain strict quality control to ensure our next-generation portable emergency light 'IM-FL', which combines outstanding design, excellent quality, and improved performance, can be widely supplied to various locations."
